CHELMSFORD, MA (November 25, 2009): Massachusetts Eye Associates’ website took home honors for design in the prestigious MarCom competition held in October. The site was recognized at the 2009 MarCom Awards competition for outstanding creative achievement. There were almost 5,000 entries by marketing and communication professionals from throughout the United States and several foreign countries in this year’s competition.

“We were thrilled to learn of this award,” said Stephen G. Green, M.H.A., practice administrator. “Several months ago we hired Elwell Communications to redesign our website. Our goals were to make the site visually attractive but more importantly, helpful for our patients. We now are able to post detailed information about procedures and other clinical information. Patients can also download forms and find answers to questions about our office services. We’ve had great feedback about the site, but it is always terrific to be recognized by professionals in the communications field.”

MarCom entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, Public Relations firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers. The competition has grown to perhaps the largest of its kind in the world.

The MarCom Awards competition is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand creative professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.
