Career Opportunities
We are a mid-size, multi-specialty group practice located in the Greater Lowell area. We provide care to a diverse patient population with broad range of needs that include cataract, glaucoma, LASIK, cornea, retina, pediatric and oculoplastic specialties. This breadth of exposure provides a rich environment for career development that ranges from optical services to sub-specialty care. The practice has operated since 1970 and serves as a primary resource for patient referred from primary care office associated with Tufts Medicine/Lowell General Hospital as well as local optometry practices. We look for staff who are motivated to grow professionally and who are compassionate and passionate about providing high quality care to our patients.
We currently looking for individuals with the following career interest:
Ophthalmic Tech
Patient care experience in an ophthalmic or optometric capacity, or experience as a medical assistant in a health-related field with an interest in eye care. Must have a demonstrated capacity to work with a team and one-on-one with patients to obtain patient history, documenting status in an electronic medical record. Responsibilities include patient intake and preparation of the patient for the examination by the doctor – testing, measurements and the administration of dilating drops in the patient’s eyes. Ophthalmology provides a career ladder– progressing from testing tech, to ophthalmic assistant, to ophthalmic technician to a medical technologist. Experience working with highly specialized testing equipment is a plus.
Patient Services
Phone and Front Desk reception responsible for matching patient needs with resources available in the practice. Must enjoy patient interaction and retain a genuine interest in working as a team and as an individual ensuring that patient information – demographic and insurance- is collected accurately. You will work with Clearwave – a state of the art, contact-less process for patients to register for their appointments and check-in upon their arrival in clinic.
If you would like additional information about either of these options, please contact Stacey Marston, H/R Manager at Mass Eye Associates at 978-256-5600.
